5 lockdown hobbies

As COVID hits the world once again with a new variants, a lot of countries will go into another lockdown. This originally wasn’t the plan, but if your country hasn’t done this yet, it might be smart to plan on it happening already. In this blog, we’ll name five hobbies you could start while in lockdown.

  1. Baking

Baking is an ideal lockdown hobby, as you have to do it from home. The supermarkets won’t close, so you can always get the ingredients you need. Baking might sound like a hobby you have to have some kind of experience for, but this is not true at all. Start off by baking simple recipes, such as a cake or cookies. Once you start to feel like you know what you’re doing, you can experiment by mixing ingredients yourself. Baking is a great hobby to do, as it’s very rewarding: you’ll have some snacks once you’re finished.

  1. Painting

Have you always felt like there was a modern day Van Gogh trapped inside of you? Why not put it to the test! Painting is a very easy hobby to start with, as you only need a canvas and paint to get going. You can follow lessons for painting, but you can also start by simply painting something you like. Visit a beautiful place and paint outside, or have one of your family members pose and paint them.

  1. Visit a casino

You might think now that the casinos are closed, there’s no way of playing any casino games. However, this is false, as there are several online casinos that offer you the perfect experience a casino can offer. At these online casinos, you can play all the games you’d usually play at an actual casino, such as Poker, Baccarat, Blackjack etc. Make sure you have the right strategy and have your fingers crossed that luck is on your side, because a successful night at an online casino can make an unforgettable experience.

  1. Explore some music

Everyone enjoys some nice tunes to listen to. Not everyone likes the same kind of music, but there are always people that enjoy the same music you enjoy. If you have some time on your hands, why not dive deeper into your favourite genre? Maybe you’ll find some artists you hadn’t heard of before, that will quickly become your new favourite. As soon as lockdown is cancelled again, you could enjoy your new artists in an awesome live show, together with a lot of people that enjoy this artist as well.

  1. Write a book

This one might ask a lot of creativity, but that depends on how creative you want to make your book. You could simply write your book about you: who are you, or what have you done today? But, if you have a nice storyline in mind, you can also try to put the pen to the paper and start writing your book. Who knows, maybe you can actually earn some money with this hobby!

What hobby will you pick?

Will you continue one of your previous lockdown hobbies, or did we inspire you to start a new hobby?
